Parents of LGBTQIA+ Youth Support Group
A place of compassion, conversation,
safety, and support.
Has your child recently come out to you as LGBTQ+?
Are you wondering how to support them?
Do you need for a safe space to connect with other parents
who are also on this journey?
Come and be empowered with a group of like-minded parents. Facilitated by caring and experienced leaders, this group meets monthly to help parents network and grow together. This group is open to anyone. As a Church ministry, we have a particular goal to guide Parents of Christian faith to reconcile their beliefs while fully supporting their loved ones. It is often the case that our faith communities may not be a safe space to share our experiences and ask questions.
You will be safe here. You belong here.

Hear more about the Greg and Lynn’s story below.

"The only clear line I draw these days is this: When my religion tries to come between me and my neighbor (or child). I will choose my neighbor, Jesus never commanded me to
love my religion."
- Rev. Barbara Brown Taylor
GROUP GUIDELINES
This group will be a safe place for any parents regardless of where they are in their journey.
Nothing shared in this group will be shared outside of the group.
No one will be forced to share if they aren’t ready. Just listening is an acceptable way to take part in this group.
While Mosaic Church is hosting this group and comes from a Christian perspective, all faiths will be respected by those in the group.
In order to build the safest and most meaningful community, we will prioritize coming to as many meetings as possible.
We will do our best to finish readings and journaling work in preparation for each meeting.
